Sunday, September 20th is the Foggy Mountain Fall Fair in Cumberland! We will have the tent set up on the street outside the store so bring a project or two and join us!
"Cumberland's Foggy Mountain Fall Fair is back on Sunday September 20th, in the sweet little Village of Cumberland! Join us for the day-long street market complete with over 85 amazing artisan vendors, merchant specials, heritage apple sales, live music, harvest games and crafts, a Zucchini Race, Taoist Tai Chi demo, Museum Open House (by donation all day long), Comox Valley Farmers Market, a Lord of the Gourd and Harvest Bloom demo, and the infamous Cumberland Pie of the Year Contest.
The Foggy Mountain Fall Fair runs from 10 am to 4 pm between 3rd and 1st street with live music in a grassy field next to the Waverley!
This annual celebration of the turning season welcomes residents and visitors from across the Valley! Be sure to stop in at the Cumberland Cultural Center between 1 and 3:30 to cast your vote for People's Choice for the Pie of the Year and then come back at 4 pm for the Pie Spectacle with music, judging and tasting! 100% of proceeds from the Pie of the year Contest supports the work of the Cumberland Forest. Music is also always at the heart of the Foggy Mountain Fall Fair. Performers include Stefan Nadon, Rowan Klassen, Tereza Tomek & Kazimea Sokil, The Awakeners, Back Porch Banjo and the Craig Freeman Fiddlers
Check out the regional bounty at the Comox Valley Farmers Market from 10-1 in Village Square. Pop into local pubs, cafes and breweries for delicious food and drink. Create a harvest bouquet from your garden and share it for silent auction! And be sure to build a zucchini car and race for prizes with the Vancouver island Regional Library.
