Whoever said cord doesn't matter has never tried ChiaoGoo needles and cords!  We can't say enough good things about these multi strand, nylon coated steel cables.  The simple fact that the cord doesn't get kinked and curl up while knitting, sealed the deal for us!  The join is seamless and the cord comes with a t-pin to tighten the cord to the needle tips - (This is a VERY important feature to note) You MUST use the t-pin (key) to tighten or you risk having the needle separate from the cord.  

IMPORTANT to NOTE: 

• Mini [M] cables require tips ranging from  1.50 mm - 2.50 mm
• Small [S] cables require tips ranging from  2.75 mm - 5.00 mm
• Large [L] cables require tips ranging from  5.50 mm - 10.00 mm

The 2", 5" & 6" cables are for use with the SHORTIE needle tips.  They are too short to be used with your 4" and 5" needle tips.
